Hyundai i20 WRC on Prep

If you haven’t been following the world of rally racing for the past decade, you’re probably surprised that there seems to be a disproportionate level of buzz surrounding Hyundai’s return to the World Rally Championship?

Wait, did they ever leave? That’s one of the questions we’ve received from some folks and the answer, of course, is yes. Back in 2003, in fact. That’s why when Hyundai opens their exhibit at the 2012 Paris Motor Show with the i20 World Rally Championship Rally Car, nobody should be surprised because it’s a really big deal.

As far as details are concerned, the Korean automaker is keeping that close to their chest, particularly because there could be more than just WRC-prepped model in attendance at Paris. What we’ve been informed, though, is that the car is expected to carry a turbocharged engine that hits all the right notes at 200 horsepower.

Keep it close here because Hyundai’s apparent interest in returning to the World Rally Championship could all be confirmed at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. After all, they wouldn’t go through all the trouble of building this rally prototype of the i20 if they weren’t that serious.


Suzuki S-Cross Unveiled

Suzuki has unveiled the new S-Cross Concept at the 2012 Paris Auto Show. This concept is a preview version of the company’s next-generation C-segment crossover model - the replacement for the current SX4 crossover - set to arrive on the market in 2013.

The production version of the S-Cross will be built with the company’s slogan - "Way of Life!" - in mind and will focus on delivering exceptionally low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. In fact, Suzuki has promised that it will be amongst the lowest CO2 emitting cars in the crossover C-segment.
The S-Cross concept features a specially created Crystal Green Metallic body color and not by accident. According to Suzuki, the image it evokes is one of "nature in the city and the city in nature" - yet another statement of the promised lowest CO2 emissions.

All New Ford Focus

PT Ford Motor Indonesia (FMI) in addition to the Fiesta facelift also launched the All New Focus. This veteran product is offered in four main variants namely 1.6-liter Trend AT hatchback (5-door) and sedan (4-door), Sport 2.0-liter hatchback and sedan AT Titanium 2.0 liter.

Managing Director of FMI Good Susanto said the Focus is one of eight global models that will marketed to Indonesia. FMI also displayed All-New Ford Ranger, mainstay pickup that has been introduced since last year. This year difference is, visitors can book order and has recorded more than 3,000 consumers.

New Focus offers many advantages in the areas of quality, fuel economy, safety and smart technology. New Focus is offered with price IDR 324.9 million - IDR 369 million on the road in Jakarta.

FMI also display the limited edition Fiesta models with some extra premium features such as cruise control and a 7-airbag. There is also a modified Ranger that has wildtrek style and will marketed next year.

After more than four years into one of the world's most successful hatchback, finally Ford Motor Co. officially released Ford Fiesta facelift at the event in the Netherlands. New Fiesta's face looks more aggressive, but many consider the design imitated from Aston Martin grille or can be equated with Other Ford models, Mondeo.

From front view, the main vent has enlarged lower air dam. This change makes its looks even more aggressive. The main lights also changed and now features LED lights. At the back, stop lights is replaced with the line bends sharply.

Addition of the Fiesta facelift, is a MyKey system, Ford SYNC, the voice-enabled connectivity to Active City Stop or automatic brakes that help drivers avoid collisions at lower speeds.

The new Fiesta is also equipped with a 1000 cc EcoBoost engine that gets the title as the "International Engine of the Year "2012. This machine is claimed to be most economical in its class and produces power 81 PS@6.000 rpm.

PT Toyota Astra Motor officially presenting multipurpose sports car FJ Cruiser to target the consumer market who like off road adventure with rugged terrain. This Jeep class Car were ment to continue the tradition of toughness and ease of handling typical classic FJ-40 series and derivatives.

From side view, FJ-40 aura is felt very strong. Like a touch of classic retro design makes FJ Cruiser sweeter than FJ-40 its ancestors, with the dominance of curved lines rather than straight firm. FJ Cruiser brings up Toyota jeep DNA, developed since 50 years ago. In 1960, Toyota introduced the FJ40 series, which became the forerunner of the FJ Cruiser. With a length of 4.67 m, width 1.9 m, and high 1.83 m, FJ Cruiser carries dual VVTi V6 petrol engine. The car was also supported with five speed transmission, 24 valve DOHC alloy, with a maximum torque of 380.

Similar to its legend, the FJ Cruiser has a logo with the word TOYOTA in front grille, and has a wide windshield with white roof of fiber glass is also a unique characteristic of FJ-40. PT Mazda Motor Indonesia launched their new eight passenger MPV Mazda Biante to fill the MPV segment once inhabited by Mazda E-2000. in the IIMS 2012 event Mazda showcased its car portfolio from popular up to premium and bring more than 10 models.

Besides Biante, Mazda show Takeri concept that describes Kodo design as an advanced designed car to be the most agile in its class. This concept car is equipped with environment friendly technologies such as SKYACTIV, regeneratet braking, iELOOP and I-Stop.

New Hiace Minibus

Toyota encourages the development of tourism business by targeting travel agent to market the New Hiace minibus in Indonesia at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2012.

This types of light commercial vehicle market will exist, and continue to grow, mainly used by travel agents to drive from one place to another, such as from the airport to the hotel, even for tourism.

Marketing Director of PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) Joko Trisanyoto explained that today travel agent mainly using minibus modified from light trucks, so it is not comfortable.

Hiace was once marketed by TAM in Indonesia during 1980's, will go on sale again. In Japan, Hiace production continues, it,s just stopped marketed in Indonesia since the 1980's.

New Hiace, will be imported from Japan, the scheme utilizing the Indonesia-Japan Economic Partnership (IJEPA) so it gets a lower import duty facility for vehicles with engine capacity above 2,000 cc. Toyota Hiace is a light commercial vehicles with engine capacity of 2,500 cc. vehicles were first produced and launched in Japan in 1967 and now entering its fifth generation.

Suzuki Mega Carry Xtra

Suzuki's dominance in mini pick up market share managed to earn to 50 percent, now reinforced by the presence of Mega Carry Xtra released by PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS). With a larger tub, Mega Carry Xtra expected to meet the needs of entrepreneurs engaged in the scope of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM).
