Good news for fans of the Mini Cooper! PT. BMW Indonesia will officially bring in this premium small car to Indonesian market this year. So that was revealed from the President Director of PT BMW Indonesia Ramesh Divyantahan after the launch of the BMW 520d at Ciputra Marketing Gallery, Jakarta.
"Yes, we will market the Mini, this year as well," said Ramesh. BMW will prepare the supporting medium. However, Ramesh did not want to specify the launch date and the model of the Mini to be marketed as well. Since marketing is done directly by BMW, meaning that consumers will get a full services. It is including maintenance by educated and trained mechanics and spare parts warranty.
Currently, the Mini Cooper is marketed in several variants, including Hatch, Convertible, Clubman, and the Countryman. In the UK, this car is marketed under two types of machines, gasoline and diesel. However, the diesel have more variants, while the gasoline engine for Soho Mini Clubman only.
Mini is offered with two diesel engines with a different capacity, that is 1.6 liters (1590 cc) and 2.0 liters (1995 cc). Despite the different capacities, both machines produce the same power and torque. Both diesel engines produce power 80 kW (112 PS) and 270 Nm of torque.
This compact car dimensions vary for each model. Variants consisting of 5-door with 5 passengers and variants 2 and 3 doors for 4 passengers. 5-door version, the Countryman and the Clubman, the larger size. The length of 3961 mm to 4095 mm. For a shorter version, the Mini Cooper D, Coupe, and Convertible, length 3723 mm.
